World’s leading specialty chemical company, Evonik, has professed that Egyptian market is strategic to their business hence there will be showcasing their key technologies at the International Exhibition for the Administration & Production of Poultry & Livestock (AGRENA) happening this month.
The company, which is celebrating its two decades of support for AGRENA, will highlight two key technologies for the livestock industry – Precision Livestock Farming and Ecobiol® .
“We have participated at AGRENA for the past two decades because we find it to be an excellent platform to showcase what we offer to the Egyptian Market,” said Ahmed Khater, Technical Manager GCC & MEA Gut Health Solutions at Evonik Animal Nutrition.
“The Egyptian market is very important to our business because there is an ever-growing demand on the feed industry, fueled by the rapid population growth. Evonik Animal Nutrition has shown continuous commitment to the local market since we first started selling here in the 1960s,” Khater added.
Khater also said livestock management is getting increasingly complex over time, thus Evonik Animal Nutrition has developed solutions that make use of modern technologies, like sensors and software, to facilitate the process.
He also took time to explain Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) and Ecobiol®.
“Known as precision livestock farming (PLF), this approach goes beyond just gathering data. It combines science-based know-how with proven amino services, and innovative nutritional and health concepts. These are all embedded into specific digital solutions allowing for a better understanding of the status of the animal.
“Ecobiol® is a feed additive which consists of a natural fast-growing Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CECT 5940 strain that potentially improves the overall condition of the animals and helps producers to solve quality, profitability and sustainability challenges,” said Khater
AGRENA takes place between 17th and 19th October at the Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre and Evonik will be housed at booth (B 8 C Hall 1)
